Guys, last week was one of resets, fresh starts, whatever you want to call it…and it was HARD.  Ha!  Mostly self-inflicted difficulty, but we decided to just go for it all at once.  (Which is why this post didn’t go up last week like it was supposed to!)

MOVING – First of all, right when we pulled in from our weekend in Vegas, we started moving.  We just moved to a slightly bigger place across the street, but I think I greatly underestimated the move because of that.  It was HARD!  I’m not great at asking for help, but luckily that last night of moving my friend Carly came and saved the day.  She’s the best – I call her a Carly-of-all-trades, one of those people who knows a lot about a lot.  And she was the biggest help, I don’t know if she even realized just how much!  Thank you, Carly!

TIDYING UP – Besides being friends with Carly, the best thing I could have ever done before moving was read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up.  If you haven’t read it, you seriously need to.  It really did change my life, as dramatic as that may sound!  Basically, the book teaches you how to declutter your space and turn your home into an environment that you can be your best self in, and therefore be happy.  Author Marie Kondo takes you step-by-step through her KonMari Method for simplifying, organizing, and storing.  My favorite part about it is that she actually shows you how to get rid of things on a psychological level, which really worked for me since I’m such a sentimental person.  Anyways, I could go on and on, but you just have to read this book!  (Big thanks to my friend Tiff for turning me on to it!)The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up | Palms to Pines

WHOLE30 – We started another round of Whole30 last Monday.  (Check out my post here for our first experience with Whole30).  So worth it but so hard!  The good news is that since the first time we did it, they came out with an amazing new book!  It’s a total guide to Whole30, recipes and all.  So if you’re going to do it, you NEED to get this book and this book.Whole30 Book | Palms to Pines

This week has been MUCH better.  We got past the hangover portion of Whole30 (the timeline here is pretty accurate!), my in-laws have been in town helping us settle into the new place, and we are feeling a little more sane.  We’ve got some great IKEA hacks coming your way soon!  I know life never really slows down, so I’m sure someday I will look back on these days and laugh at myself for feeling so busy! 😉

RAGA – Side note, I’ve had a lot of people asking about some particular dresses I’ve been wearing lately, and they all happen to be from Raga!  Some of these dresses I have from their summer line happen to be on sale, and their fall line that recently came out is amazing!  Shop the brand herehere, or here, or specific links are below!
