As of yesterday it’s officially spring, but I have been meaning to post about this for a while. Whether you want to squeeze in one more snow trip for Spring Break, or put a pin in this post for next year, I hope it helps you easily know what you need to have fun in the snow.

I HATE packing, but I’ve done this trip so many times I know exactly what I need (and what I don’t!) so packing is easy! It’s hard to pack for snow because everything takes up so much SPACE, so you want to do it right. I also wanted to make it super easy for my friend who was coming with me. One thing Blake and his family did for me was make skiing/snow not only easy but FUN, and I love doing that for other people. If you don’t have the right stuff, you’re not going to have fun…because who has fun when they’re cold? š

Here’s the packing list I sent my friend for 3 days at Sundance – but it would work for any ski resort vacation!
- Leggings/workout top/sweatshirt for yoga in the mornings (I brought these leggings and this sports bra, these leggings and this sports bra, this long sleeve wool top, this long sleeve top, this sweatshirt that I’m obsessed with that I wore to yoga and as a ski layer (use code JEN10 if you get it!)
- Leggings/long sleeve as base layers for skiing (I usually just use what I linked about – if you’re going to be in crazy low temps/conditions then I’d get actual base layers, if not you’re fine with your regular leggings)
- Sweatshirt and sweater that can be worn on their own and used as mid layers for skiing
- Ski jacket and pants or snowsuit (the snowsuit I wore on this trip is from last year and hard to find now, but I’m obsessed with this one if you’re on the hunt! It’s technically so good AND so cute, I love the fit and all of the colors it comes in! I also LOVE this jacket and these pants from them.) It’s so important to have something that is warm/waterproof. You want something insulated and you’ll want a waterproof rating anywhere from 10,000-20,000mm.
- Beanies (I have this $25 one in a bunch of colors)
- Gloves (I prefer mitts!)
- Neck warmer (I like to bring 2-3 so I have clean options cause I’m weird about things that touch my face/skincare, but normal people could probably use the same one the whole time ;))
- Goggles (I’m literally obsessed with mine!)
- Ski/snow socks for skiing
- 2-3 outfits (jeans, sweaters, boots, coat for nighttime dinners/owl bar – I brought these jeans (use code JEN25) to wear with this turtle neck (comes in 8 colors!) and quilted jacket, and these jeans (my all time FAVORITE jean right now, I have two colors and counting) with this sweater, (use code JEN25) and this cashmere henley)
- Pajamas and sweats for lounging/sleeping/working in the cabin – maybe comfy outfit youād wear to spa. I also brought this super soft sweatshirt and matching pants.
- Warm socks for lounging
- Slippers, Uggs, or what I did this trip was bring these clogs to wear with the cozy socks linked above š
- Swimsuit (for the new hot springs if you’re going to Sundance, or for a hot tub wherever you’re staying! On trips like this I like to bring a super basic one piece like this one)
- Boots – snow boots if you have them and then normal boots (that you donāt mind if they get a little wet in the snow) for dinners and concert. For this trip I packed these Sorels, but I also have, love, and debated between bringing these, these, these, or these (I brought them to the snow for the first time a few weeks ago and loved them!). You can’t go wrong with any of those – they’re all warm, comfortable, and waterproof…and 40% off right now. They’ll last forever and the styles don’t change much over the years, so it’s a great time to buy.
- Airport outfit (my winter go-to is these pants and matching hoodie with this wool coat over the top)
- Sneakers for airport? These cute red ones have been my airport go-to lately, but this trip I just wore my Sorels to avoid packing another pair of shoes – they’re so comfy!
- Toiletries/makeup (I use this bag for toiletries and the matching smaller/lay flat size for makeup – it’s gonna be dry, bring a good moisturizer, lotion, and lip stuff!)
- Chargers (I always like to bring a longer charger for my phone when I travel, because you never know how far the outlet will be from the bed!)
- ID š
- Other things you might want: headphones (I’ve been loving traveling with these over ear ones), computer if you want it for work, portable speaker, book, water bottle (the tap water at Sundance is legit good, and I’m picky!), journal/pen)
- Don’t forget your helmet, skis, ski boots, and poles if you’re skiing! If you don’t ski regularly or are just starting out, I recommend renting to start. Much easier and more cost effective than buying and hauling your own!
Hope that helps! Now is such a good time to prep for next year, with everything on sale. Usually when winter starts I’m stressed about holiday shopping/spending. Also, I know we see cute ski outfits and it’s tempting, but if you get good, basic staple items they truly last you for years to come. The styles don’t change much (or at all when it comes to gear and accessories!) so buying now is a safe bet. I have really fallen in love with my winter trips, they’re always so magical. I want everyone to experience that, so I hope this list helps!
xx
