Update: Salon Row

Because I hate it when people are purposely vague on social media, I wanted to explain Salon Row on here in a bit more detail! Some of you have seen me posting about it, and missed the explanation. It’s a project Blake and I have been working on as partners with another couple (our dear friends, Louisa and Ever!). Salon Row is a salon suits concept, where salon specialists (hair stylists, nail techs, estheticians, etc.) can rent a private space which they can run their business out of. We began talking about the idea and looking for spaces almost two years ago, and our first location is finally underway. We’ve put lots of labor/love into the design of this first spot, along with our infrastructure and branding, and I’m really proud of where we are at with it so far! The build-out is moving quickly, and pre-leasing for spaces will begin soon.

The location itself is amazing – we’re right in the heart of downtown Long Beach, with a parking garage right next to the salon. Monthly parking passes are available to tenants, along with two hours free parking for their clients. I’ve been in charge of the design of the space, and I’m SO excited to see it come to life. I’m also excited about the amenities we’ll be able to offer our tenants, including software/an app for booking, scheduling, payment, etc. You can find more info on Instagram as well as our site. Since construction has been underway, we usually avoid taking the babies onsite. But Blake’s parents were in town this past week, so we all went to show them the space. The babies LOVED it – we just had to be right behind them making sure they didn’t trip on something sharp or pick up tiny screws ;).
