Happy Friday! Some things I’ve been into this week, in no particular order…
SURFING! If you consider it surfing when Blake has to push me into the waves ;). But I stood up a bunch, and felt a lot better about my paddling and relationship with the water. I’m still a loooong ways away from grabbing a board and hopping in the water by myself, but ya know…baby steps ;). It’s so fun to be out in the water with Blake, and the weather and water here has been SO WARM.The day pictured here was actually one of those perfectly magical beach days, where we got a killer spot at San O (with a table, an umbrella, a bench, and some shade!), grilled food whenever we got hungry on our little Smokey Joe Charcoal Grill (this thing is the BEST for the beach!), traded off between relaxing and surfing, and watched an amazing sunset. There was even a guy sitting next to us playing the ukulele…I mean, come on. Our friend Tandra just moved here, so it was fun to see her experience the magic. Our friend Monti gave us a killer surf lesson, and then he and Blake pushed us into waves until we couldn’t paddle back out anymore!
Due to my recent ocean adventure, I’m also really into one-pieces. Guys, it’s so much more practical! Do I sound like a Mom? Bikinis will definitely always have their place in my heart, but I’m letting one-pieces in, too. I LOVE the one from Tavik that I wore surfing – it’s on sale right now in two other colors here, or you can buy it from Tavik in any color here.
Alright enough about the beach, here are a few more random things I’m into this week:
St. Eve Jewelry. I love St. Eve Jewelry, so I was super excited to get to shoot with them this week. Also, for purposes of the shoot I wore a septum ring for the first time and decided it made me edgy. Edgy Jen might have to start trying to pull this look off more often ;).
MouseWait. Blake’s brother’s family came into town and we met them at Disneyland for an evening. I love using the free Mousewait app to check wait times and ride status. Makes us so much more efficient in the park!
Garth Brooks. Guys, I could cry. I waited online for hours to get tickets to the San Diego show and still didn’t get them. HOW does that happen?! I’ve wanted to see him in concert LITERALLY since I was a little girl…UGH. Anyone have any suggestions on how/where to still get tickets?! I have a need to feel the thunder…ha!
Alright, I’m out for the weekend. Hope your’s takes you somewhere fun!
