This past weekend, we had the best little staycation at Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach. I promised that we’d go to Pelican Hill more in this post, and we’ve been making good on that promise! As I discovered in the post I mentioned, it really is so accessible to locals and such a great place to get away. So when I knew an old friend was coming into town for the weekend, I hurried and booked us for a poolside cabana at Pelican Hill.

The resort left these two pelicans as a gift for the twins and I about died – I LOVE pelicans so much and these are the cutest :).

It really was the best day – the sun broke through those “June gloom” clouds just as we arrived and settled in to our private cabana, and we didn’t leave until the pool closed. We lounged in the sun, listened to music, ordered food and drinks from the Coliseum Pool and Grill, and floated in the pool. The pool itself is amazing – it’s a huge circular pool with an ocean view, made up of over a million hand-cut mosaic tiles. And because we weren’t ready to end the day, as the sun started to go down, we headed up to the Social Lounge for “Five at Five” to listen to live music by the fireplace and watch the sunset!

My Favorite New Suit (and ever-growing double baby bump!)

Parker Swim Top (I’m obsessed – can be worn backwards too for a while different look!) | Pixie Bottom | Black Cat-Eye Sunglasses | Straw Boater Hat | Gold Cuff Ring

Booking a Poolside Cabana at Pelican Hill

Anyone can book a poolside cabana – meaning you don’t have to be a guest of the hotel – and they are super reasonably priced. I want to do it again soon for a girls’ day – maybe a birthday or a shower.

Thanks to Pelican Hill for having us – we are already planning our next staycation ;).

xx
