Around this time last year, on a very rainy day, Waverly Organizing came and organized my pantry and it was nothing short of life changing. Because it was done RIGHT, it’s held up since then and I can honestly say it looks almost exactly the same. It truly cleared up a space in my brain that I needed to be productive in other areas. It made cooking, shopping, and eating healthy SO much easier. I know we are all feeling pressure to do and be so many things in the New Year, so I don’t want to add to that, but hear me out…if you can pick just one area of your house this week, even if it’s just one cupboard or drawer, and TRULY purge and organize it, I promise you that it will make the biggest difference in your daily life, productivity, and peace.
I’ll share below what Waverly used for my pantry and kitchen in case it can work for you, but remember to MEASURE YOUR SPACE efore you order anything. My friend Amy from Waverly is so passionate about that – if you start buying random bins and containers without a plan or measurements, you’ll end up with even more clutter and things to get rid of (aka the bins you just purchased!) in the end.

Kitchen
Here’s a list of things we used in my kitchen (also shown in the reel linked here!) that REALLY have helped with storage solutions and organization/function:
- Acrylic Spice Rack for Drawer (I use it to keep my supplements and vitamins in a convenient drawer so I’ll actually take them!
- Wire Storage Rack (I removed shelves in cupboards and used it for pans and platters – such a game changer!)
- Adjustable Bamboo Drawer Dividers (Waverly showed me these and they are genius – if you’re gonna get one thing I say get these! I especially love having one in my tupperware drawer to divide containers and lids.)
- Magentic Knife Holder/Strip for Wall (This is an ode to my grandma – she had one and I love that it reiminds me of her kitchen! But I also love that it gets my knives off of the counter and out of the drawers so they stay sharper and take up less real estate.)
- Drawer Organizer for plastic bags, foil, plastic wrap (It’s so satisfying to get rid of all the messy boxes that the different size bags come in. Definitely measure for this one to find an option that works for your drawer, there are lots on Amazon!)
Garage
Check out the work they did in my garage the year before here, and more of their work here. After living with they systems they created and seeing how much they’ve helped, I want to bring them in this year to do the closets. Then I’d be living in such a clean, functional environment, with a literal place for everything and less waste.
While there’s a lot you can do on your own, I was so lucky to have professional help to get things done right. After having Waverly do my garage, pantry, and kitchen, I see how worth it it can be to bring someone in. What they did in a day would have taken me weeks, if I could even have ever done it, and the WAY they did it correctly means it’s all still functioning and clean, 1-2 years later. If you’re local to San Diego, Orange County or LA, it’s really easy to get a quote from Waverly just by sending them a few photos.
