With summer in full swing, I’ve been trying to find ways to keep the sun completely off of my face.  The time has officially come when I am starting to regret not protecting it every second growing up!  I feel like it’s starting to age, plus I’m getting more and more hyper-pigmentation.  If you’re feeling the same as me, here are a few ways I’m throwing my face some shade that you might find helpful…

  • Leather Visor.  Yep, visor!  A leather one!  I usually resort to a huge straw hat, which isn’t super comfortable when I’m trying to drive or lay out in a lounge chair, and baseball hats can seem too casual sometimes.  I was recently on a shoot where the stylist used a leather visor and I loved it, so I had to hunt one down myself.  Good news – I found this one on sale at 40% off!

    • Powder Sunscreen.  WHY am I so slow to get on the powder sunscreen train?! It’s amazing! I love that it’s not greasy underneath my makeup, and then that I can reapply it without feeling like I’m doing it at the expense of a breakout.  I love this one from Colorscience.
    • Beach Umbrella.  We FINALLY got a beach umbrella, I think that means I’m officially old!  I never wanted one until now, and it’s upping my beach game big time.  We got this cute one and I love the colors/design.

How do you protect your face??  I want to know!  Email me or leave me a comment below!

And big thanks to Josh Bishop for taking these photos, check him out here and on Instagram ( @bishopjosh ).
