We attempted our first real beach day with the girls last weekend. We were intimidated at the idea of it – mostly about how much stuff we’d have to haul from wherever we found parking out to the sand ;). But I told Blake it’s only going to get crazier when the girls start crawling, eating sand, and wanting to be in the water!
The girls did so well, so I guess I’m posting this just as a reminder to get out do the things you love, with your babies! Yes it takes more time and effort, and it’s going to be different than it used to be before kids, but I’d bet you are going to have just as much fun! Sometimes it’s even better to see things through your baby’s eyes. We tried to keep the stuff to a minimum, so here are the things we took:
- MZ Wallace Quilted Nylon Backpack (as a diaper bag) with…
- Bottles and Formula/Breast Milk
- A few toys
- Sunscreen
- Hats
- Swimsuits
- Diapers, Wipes, and Swim diapers
- Beach blanket & towel
- Beach umbrella (for shade for the girls!)
- Water bottles and snacks for us since I can still get away with just bottles for the girls (just a couple bars!)
- Baby carriers
- Baby pop up tent
Blake also brought his surf board and a beach chair, which I was impressed he carried with a baby!
xx
