Rose Pink

Whether I’m more partial to pink because I have two girls on the way, or I caught the “Millenial Pink” fever, there seems to be more pink creeping in around here. And guess what? I’m ok with it. I keep telling Blake my favorite color is now “Rosé” ;). So, when I saw this silky trench from Stillwater, I HAD TO HAVE IT. And guys, it’s amazing in person. I just want to wear it all the time…

Our Anniversary

Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary – HOW has it been three years?!? Originally we said we’d try and spend our anniversaries at Sundance (where we got married) and our first anniversary we did that – went back to the spot we got married. But our second anniversary we worked together on a job in Malibu and then the photographers took us to dinner (they happen to be two of our best friends.) Now here we are at our third and Blake just left on a boys’ surf trip to Mexico. But you know what? I’m ok with it! Last night we were putting TWO cribs together – who would have ever thought we’d be expecting TWINS at our third anniversary?! Not me! His Mom is actually in town helping me put the nursery/house together, and Blake scheduled us for some massages and made fancy dinner reservations. It’s funny how you evolve together and find what works, isn’t it? Maybe we’ll get to Sundance for our 4th next year ;).

Cribs

We set up the cribs last night!!! Each little thing we do makes it all seem more real, but seeing TWO cribs side by side was the biggest trip yet! A few of you have asked what we chose, so I’ll give you a sneak peek ;). We ended up with two of these from Project Nursery. I love how clean and simple they are, and they go perfectly with the rest of the nursery design. More to come on that!

Yesterday’s Ultrasound

We had a checkup yesterday and got a peek at the babes – they are looking so good! I can tell they are getting bigger just by how much of the screen they take up now ;). We were cracking up at these forward face shots the tech got of both of them – so cute but so creepy! My doctor joked that they look like robo cops and I totally agree!

The only issue we have right now is that one of the babies has Velamentous cord insertion, which means the cord isn’t inserted in the placenta like it should be. Instead of going into the center of the placenta, it is connected from the side by exposed vessels, which is not ideal and risks the baby not receiving nutrients. However, my doctor assured me it is common in twin pregnancies and the only thing we will do is monitor the babies growth (which we would have done anyways!) So far both babies are still growing and the same size, so we are good!

Life is crazy good! Can’t wait to see what happens in the next three years with these little babes coming our way. Love you Mister!

xx
