Well kids, we’ve reached the last day of Early Access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, so I’m stocking up on my beauty products while I can still get those double points!  Regular access to the sale starts tomorrow, so if you don’t have a Nordstrom card tomorrow is the time to start :).  The products listed below are products I OWN, USE, and LOVE!  Each one of them.  They are in my shopping cart right now,…

Anniversary Weekend in the Mountains

Our anniversary was June 29th, but with the business of work and life we couldn’t celebrate on the actual day.  We decided to make up for it with a trip last weekend to the mountains we got married in.  More specifically, we went back to the exact spot we got married in, by Blake’s dad, just a year ago. If you didn’t already know, Blake and I were married in Sundance, Utah, which is where…

Breakfast at Sundance | Lace+Whiskey

We took a little vacation last weekend, so I’ve been a little MIA on the blog.  Sometimes I feel like the perfect way to end a vacation is to write about it on here, but since I’m still in denial that it’s over that might have to wait until tomorrow.  Until then, here are some snaps we took on a beautiful day up at Sundance Resort in what I like to call my “breakfast pants.”…

Guys, it’s that time of year again!  Yesterday was the first day of early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for Nordstrom card holders.  (I have the Nordstrom debit card – it just come straight from your checking account while letting you accrue points.  If you shop at Nordstrom, it’s a no-brainer.)  I’d seen previews of the sale catalog online, but my niece and I went on a date to Nordstrom yesterday to scope everything in person.…

Dinner for Two | Seared Salmon with Barley

I had to post this recipe, because it was so simple and satisfying.  Disclaimer: it’s another salmon recipe.  I know I post a lot of salmon but hey, we EAT a lot of salmon.  And I feel like it’s so easy to cook without a lot of fuss/ingredients, and still tastes so good!  Which is exactly how I feel about this recipe… Ingredients: 2 skinless salmon fillets 1/2 cup pearled barley 3 ounces baby spinach…

Sunset Sits | Bohemian Bones

Sometimes life gets crazy, and all of the sudden I realize that we’ve forgotten to do little things we love.  We hadn’t seen a sunset from Corona Del Mar beach in a while, and it’s something so simple that always makes us happy.  So we hurried over there after work, watched the sun go down together, and then met one of our best friends for sushi nearby.  I couldn’t help my smile sitting there at…

Traveling with Jewelry | Kestrel

It may sound silly, but if you travel with jewelry you know it can be frustrating.  I’ve always struggled with mine getting tangled, lost, or tarnished.  I’d throw it all in a little bag together, or just into my toiletry kit and then get frustrated when it became a mess.  I finally decided I needed to do something different, so I started the hunt for a good jewelry travel case. My absolute favorite that I found is…
