I’ve never been more excited or more anxious to start a new year! The last 4 months of 2017 was spent in the hospital with the babies, and then when we brought them home the holidays were in full swing. Blake’s been either off of work or working from home since they came home. We’ve fallen into a routine together and managed, but this week Blake goes back to work and all bets are off. I’m SO ready for a fresh start, to establish what our new normal looks like, and to fall in to that. I’m also terrified! Terrified to be responsible for these two little humans, wanting to give them the best type of care but worried I’ll lose all ability to do any of my own work in the process. Happy I have this site as a place to organize and work thought it, with all of you as both a motivation and resource.

I’ve got lots of great things coming on the blog – so please stick with me! I’ll still have the style posts, but I’ll show you how that’s changing as I get older and chase these babies around. I’ll talk about the girls and what’s working for us to care for them as they grow. I’ll cover health and fitness – always in moderation for me – that keeps me sane. I’m also so so excited to finally show you the girls’ nursery, so soon!!

For now, I’ll leave you with a few SIMPLE resolutions that I’ve implemented and loved. Of course you should write down your big ones and work towards them, but make these few small changes in the meantime and you’ll be so glad you did!   Stillwater Morning Robe | How to wear a duster

Drink more water. However much water you’re drinking, drink even more! Use a special water bottle (I always love these big ones!) to motivate yourself and keep track of how much you’re drinking throughout the day.

Cook something new. Challenge yourself to try a new recipe, just one time a week. If you’re already doing this, great. I’m actually starting another round of Whole30 this week, and love the new book called Whole30: Fast & Easy for meal ideas.

Walk. Walk somewhere everyday. Whether you’re on a workout program or not, add a walk in. Walk around your neighborhood, park super far away from Target so you have to walk across the parking lot, or vow to always take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Unsubscribe from all of the emails you don’t want/need to receive. Just scroll to the bottom of the email, and there will always be a link to unsubscribe. So worth it to clean up your inbox and help your productivity!

Spend a little bit of time on your skin. Try a new product you’ve been wanting to try! I’m forever obsessed with these Alpha Beta Peel wipes (literally takes two minutes, once or twice a week to use and makes the biggest difference!)

Ok, let’s do this 2018!

xx
