Festival Style | Hidden Jewel Boutique

There’s a little festival coming up in southern California this weekend, some of you might have heard of it? 😉  When it comes to festival style, I honestly think anything goes.  However, Blake and I are headed to a couple of pool parties in the desert this weekend, and I can never decide if I want to wear a swimsuit or not!  Why is that so hard for me?!  I think I’ll end up with a…

The Flower Fields | Carlsbad, CA

This Easter, we went down to Carlsbad to see The Flower Fields.  This place is amazing!!  In my adult years, my favorite flower has become Ranunculus, so I was in disbelief when I heard that there was a place nearby with 50 ACRES OF RANUNCULUS!  Excuse me?!  Guys – it’s a real thing.  And if you’re near Carlsbad in the spring months, I suggest you go. Jean Jacket ~ Tank ~ Pants ~ Sandals ~ Sunnies…

Rivers & Roads

Last week I linked up with a couple friends and headed to the Provo River. Originally I wanted to shoot some photos for People Water of these guys having a day on the river, but a late season snow storm decided to join us. A combination of being on the water, the dreary skies and some decent sized snowflakes created a pretty rad photo environment.

Easter’s Best | Urbana Custom

In celebration of the Easter holiday, I’m sharing our Easter best for this year.  Because well, Easter is the best ;). It’s not often that Blake puts on a suit, so it’s a site that makes me just melt.  (Sorry, it’s true!)  I’ve never seen a suit fit him as well as this one from Urbana Custom.  (Re: Urbana — You have to check them out.  You’ll never buy a suit from anywhere else again.  Promise.…

Weekend Getaway | Stein Eriksen Lodge

This past weekend, Blake and I spent a beautiful weekend together, tucked away in the mountains of Park City, Utah at the Stein Eriksen Lodge.  We skied, ate, slept, had friends and family come up to visit, and relaxed.  I loved being in the fresh mountain air, and just getting away.  Usually when we go to Utah, we are hurrying from place place, working and trying to see everyone and their Mom (like, literally we…

Spring Style | Spell and the Gypsy Collective

I have to say, it’s the best/worst thing ever that I happen to live RIGHT by a boutique that carries so many of my favorite designers.  They brought in a pretty good haul for Spring/festival season, and I’m especially loving the new pieces and prints from Spell and the Gypsy Collective.  So thank you, Hidden Jewel Boutique, for making shopping so easy for me ;).  And thanks to Taryn Kent for the pictures below (you’re the…

Beach Bag in the Desert | Nena and Co.

Love this bag and style, put together by Ali of Nena and Co.  These pictures were shot on a day out in the desert with the best group!  (Minus Blake – he couldn’t make it and we missed him dearly!) The hair and makeup is by Melissa Abad, she is so good and so so great to work with.  Photos are by Foxes and Wolves…but I don’t need to tell you how much I love…

SKINVOLVE | Body Skincare

I’ve had a few people ask me if the things I post are really things that I like and buy/use myself.  The answer is always YES…so listen up!  In the past, I’ve tried a million things to take care of my face, but have never give much thought to the rest of my skin.  Lately as I’m getting older (yikes!) I’ve been looking for something to ensure some skin longevity ;).  Guys, I am LOVING…

San Clemente | Spring Beachwear

I finished working a little early yesterday, so Blake and I met up with some friends in in San Clemente to hang on the beach and watch the sun go down.  It’s evenings like these that make me so grateful to live where we do, even if there’s traffic, and groceries are a million dollars, and it seems like it will be centuries before we can buy the house we want…;) Side note- I love…

Breakfast on Repeat | Acai Bowls

Guys, I can’t stop making these Acai bowls.  We’ve been making them for breakfast nonstop, but I have to stop myself from making them at night as a dessert.  They’re that good! I remember I used to love visiting California and going straight to get an Acai bowl.  I never even thought about trying to make one myself – I just though of it as something I could only get in California.  Now there are…
