I’ve been going to Napa my whole life (my Grandparents and cousins have lived there for years) and this was only Blake’s second trip there, but we wanted to find something both of us hadn’t seen.  Blake had heard about the CIA – the Culinary Institute of America – so we decided to check it out.

The 30-minute drive out from downtown Napa is beautiful – you’re driving through amazing wine country – vineyards decorated with beautiful old buildings.  The CIA itself is a castle-like stone building on beautiful grounds.  You can walk inside and see the classrooms, eat at the cafe, and shop around the gift shop.  The gift shop was my favorite part – it’s like a prestigious Williams Sonoma store, with kitchen gadgets, tools and so many good books.  If you’re into cooking at all, you should definitely check it out next time you’re in Napa.

The pictures below were taken at the CIA.  My outfit is from Laguna Supply (I told you I stocked up for this trip!).  I LOVE the Ulla Johnson pants – they’re a dressy but comfy harem pant with cargo pockets and a drawstring waist – the drop crotch is my favorite part ;).  And I couldn’t resist wearing the Ulla Johnson shoes with the pants – they’re so beautiful!  If you’re in the area, drop in Laguna Supply for more goodness from Ulla Johnson.  If you’re not, give them both a follow on Instagram to see more!Laguna Supply | Palms to PinesLaguna Supply | Palms to PinesLaguna Supply | Palms to PinesLaguna Supply | Palms to PinesLaguna Supply | Palms to PinesLaguna Supply | Palms to PinesLaguna Supply | Palms to Pinesxo
