It’s been a whirlwind of a month with our own travel and then having family and friends come to town, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!  A few things I’ve been into amidst the amazing chaos:

Disneyland.  It’s always fun to experience the magic of Disneyland through kids’.  Blake and I have the Southern California Select annual passport, which has been perfect for us.  This past week, we got to spend a full day there with my sister’s family.  We had so much fun, went on some of my favorite rides, ate lots of food, and even got to visit Bibbity Bobbity Boutique with the girls.

Nation X Tinker Bell. It was also the perfect time to support a partnership between one of my favorite brands, Nation LTD, and Disney by wearing a couple of our shirts from their Nation X Tinker Bell collaboration – how great is that??  Tahni has always loved Tinkerbell, so I couldn’t help but make her take a picture with me in them.  I’m pretty sure we have a similar picture in this spot from when we were much smaller!

Estelle.  It was this little girls’ 3rd birthday last Friday, and we just kept celebrating all week long.  Since they flew in on her birthday, I threw her a little Frozen party (at her request) complete with her favorite foods (berries, “cado” – aka avacado, watermelon, and a gluten free cake.  We even played pin the nose on Olaf, which turned out to be so much more fun then I expected.  I ordered a bunch of cheesy decorations on Amazon, and Estelle loved them.  Sadly, I didn’t get a picture of all of the decorations, but I linked them all below for you!

Necklaces for the Nieces.  I loved my “Blake” necklace from Nashelle so much, I couldn’t help but get one for each of my nieces.  How cute are they with their little names on there??  You can get a name or a special word – personalize it to whatever you want!  Stelle actually loved her’s so much she kept holding on to it when I tried to take a picture – it’s that special! 😉

Whale Watching.  Before Tahni’s family came, my little brother Caleb was here!  I love having people in town, because it gives us an excuse to do all of the touristy things we sometimes forget.  When Caleb was here we surfed both at San O and Newport, swam and laid by the pool, hosted a class with friends at SoulCycle, ate lots of good food (especially In-n-Out and Pressed Juicery), and had a day in LA complete with the LACMA lights and The Grove.  However, one of my favorite things that we did was whale watching!!  It’d the end of whale migration season, and we found a Groupon that was just $22 for both of us ($11 each!).  For that price, we got a 2.5 hour boat ride along the coast, saw lots of dolphins, and saw one really awesome finback whale, RIGHT by our boat!Whale Watching Newport Beach Groupon | Palms to PinesWhale Watching Newport Beach Groupon | Palms to Pines

Water by Ra Ra Riot.  We’ve made it tradition that each time Caleb comes to town, we pick a theme song for the trip.  This time it was Water, by Ra Ra Riot.  It’s so good – we can’t stop listening to it!

Alright, now you know what I’ve been up to the last couple of weeks!  I’m sad they’re all gone, but we’ve got more coming in the next couple of weeks so there’s lots to look forward to!!

Happy Friday!

xx
