We just had such a special weekend together, and I’m left with a feeling I get a lot. It’s a mixture of feeling so grateful for Blake and this ache of missing the rest of our family who are so far away. Does that ever go away? I don’t think so.
We were lucky to get to go to the RiSE Festival for the third time. It’s always hard to find the words to explain the festival, but I had many of the same feelings I had the first two years. Read those posts below (they both have video!)

Blake did manage to snap some goods ones though, so here they are:
One of my favorite parts about going to RiSE is road-tripping out. I love time in the car with Blake (he’s trapped with me!), and Vegas is just the perfect distance (as long as there’s not traffic!) I also love going somewhere for just a day or two, since I can actually JUST bring a weekender. And of course, we couldn’t help but pull over to snap some desert shots ;).

We like to get there early, set up, and watch the sunset. The sunset against the desert backdrop is such a beautiful thing.

And now, the lantern part. Pictures just never do it justice, but here they are anyway:

Big thanks to AMUSE for the cute outfits for the trip, I found everything I needed on their site.
And thank you to RiSE, for having us for another beautiful night. Until next year!
