Redefining Luxury Travel | LA Travel Magazine

“If the world is a book, be sure you read more than one page.” I’m excited to be a part of LA Travel Magazine‘s Spring issue, which just recently launched.  For this feature, we spent some time at one of my very favorite hotels, The Grand Del Mar.  It’s a pretty magical place, located in Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve near San Diego.  That hotel is a post for another day!  But check out the article below by…

Headed to the Weekend…

We are headed into the weekend, and I’m pretty excited about it!  If you can’t tell, that’s my “It’s Friday” face in the picture above ;).  We’ve had a little heat wave here this past week, and it’s making me feel like summer is suddenly here.  Which in turn leads me straight to things like the pool, and beach towels, and swimsuits… Happy Friday, yous guys!  Ruby Mint Towel | Zinke Swimsuit HAPPY FRIDAY! xo…

Drybar | A Girls’ Kind of Morning

This morning my good friend Tiffany and I started out our day with a session at The Drybar in Newport Beach.  If you haven’t heard of Drybar before, it’s a pretty amazing little place where they specialize in blowouts.  No cutting or coloring, just a great shampoo and style for $40.  For me, it’s kind of like a dream come true, considering blow drying my hair is one of my least favorite things to do…

Namaslay 1.0

Throughout the year my brother Steven and I are always trying to plan trips. Most of the time, they have a hard time happening because we’re either imagining something super unrealistic or work/time/life have another agenda. However, when plans do come together, we both get pretty excited and I usually find myself in over my head on some adventure. That’s what makes for a memorable time, right?? This past Sunday was a good example of the…

Clover Canyon

This neoprene knit sheath dress from Clover Canyon is something special.  So comfortable, fits like a glove.  The print combination and colors are just the right kind of wild, and balanced out with the high collar and conservative knee-length.  I’m sold.  For me, it’s an ode to all of those days on the lake that I put on a wetsuit and wished my clothes could make me feel that good!  Guys, it’s now possible ;).…

Earth Day: Let’s Keep the Snow

There’s a lot of controversy surrounding the concept of climate change, or global warming, or whatever you want to call it.  Personally, when I think about the impact we are having on the environment, one of the first things that comes to mind is how climate change is affecting snowfall, or the lack thereof.  This is something that directly affects not only the earth, but Blake and his family and the industry they work in.  I…

Weekend Pool Parties, Coachella Style

Last weekend, Blake and I headed out to the desert for some events and parties surround Coachella.  We had crazy work/travel schedules before and after the weekend, so we didn’t actually get tickets to go to the concert this time (although once we were in the desert I really wish we could stay for the whole experience!!  Especially after I found out Father John Misty was playing…ugh, I love him.  It’s ok, Blake knows.  That’s a…

Festival Style | Cleobella

I feel like all of LA (and lots of Orange County) has started the migration to the desert!  I actually really love seeing everyone’s outfits popping up on social media.  It’s pretty crazy how festivals have turned into such catalysts for fashion.  If you are headed to the desert and haven’t decided exactly what you’re wearing, The Hidden Jewel Boutique http://shophiddenjewel.com/ is a pretty reliable one-stop-shop for festival attire ;).  More photos by Taryn Kent: Cleobella…

Festival Style | Hidden Jewel Boutique

There’s a little festival coming up in southern California this weekend, some of you might have heard of it? 😉  When it comes to festival style, I honestly think anything goes.  However, Blake and I are headed to a couple of pool parties in the desert this weekend, and I can never decide if I want to wear a swimsuit or not!  Why is that so hard for me?!  I think I’ll end up with a…
