Tea With Me

I’m a dork, but when I envision the person I want to be, it somehow always involves sipping tea throughout the day.  I love tea, but I also love the process and atmosphere that comes with it.  I just want to be the kind of girl that offers people tea when they come over, and as a result has long meaningful talks about life with her nearest and dearest.  So basically, if I ever offer…

Sawdust Festival | Laguna Beach

This past weekend, we finally went to the Sawdust Festival.  You guys…I LOVED it.  The Sawdust Festival takes place every summer in Laguna Beach.  It’s known for handmade jewelry, blown glass, pottery and ceramics, photographer, and paintings.  A dear friend of mine, Katelin, is about to get married, so we met her there to find some gold rings for her big day. My favorite part of the day was when we stopped to watch a glass…

Swim Collective 2015 | Huntington Beach

Last week was a pretty exciting one around Orange County – our own “Swim Week” – as the Swim Collective trade show took place in Huntington Beach.  I LOVE going to this show – previewing all the new swim lines coming out, seeing old friends, and meeting new ones.  In the past, I’ve worked the show as a model, but this year I decided to cover the event both for my blog and my agency, No Ties…

Healthy Peach Snack | Just a Dash

Blake and I have been saying lately that we need to be better snackers.  Meaning, we never snack or keep snacks around, so if we feel even a little bit hungry we end up just eating a huge meal.  We especially notice this after we workout – we come home starving, too hungry to even get through making dinner! ;).  So last week, I got serious about finding snack options, and reached out to my…

What I’m Into This Week

It’s Friday! This week flew by, as most weeks do in the summer time :).  We have a wedding tonight for one of my favorite people in the world (Mr. Ryan Baughman) and then we take off to camp at the lake for the weekend with my whole family.  Life is good!  I’ll leave you with a few things I’ve been loving this week. Wildfox is back on Hautelook!  Which means it’s a REALLY good day…

Legend Creek | Main Living Area

This big, open living area is the heart of the home, where we know memories will be made for the family that ends up living here!  (Did I mention this house is for sale?  Although I’m going to be really sad to see it go…it could be yours’!)  Our favorite part about the room is definitely the white brick fireplace, that extends all the way to the 18-foot tall ceiling.  The fireplace will soon be a working gas…

Behind the Brand | Gladys Tamez Millinary

I love learning about processes, and how things are made.  When I was little, I watched an episode of Mr. Rogers where he visited a crayon factory to show how crayons are created.  The machines, the assembly…it all got me!  Ever since then I’ve been hooked – I love to see the “behind the scenes” of the products I love.  This is why I was so excited when Blake and I were invited into the…

PicJoy | My Personal Photo Journal App

A good friend of ours’, Shane Bills, has developed a pretty awesome app called PicJoy.  It’s basically a photo curation app that organizes your photos and records the stories behind your pictures, creating kind of a photo journal.  If you’re like me, I take pictures EVERYWHERE we go, and therefore have thousands of pictures on my phone.  I really don’t do anything with those pictures, except dump them on a hard drive when my phone…

Legend Creek | Kitchen & Dining

One of the best things about this house is that Tahni was willing to combine different styles to get the look she really wanted.  The kitchen/dining area creates an eclectic blend with open shelving, classic white subway tiling, a big white farmhouse sink, antique gold hardware, and midcentury modern lighting.  The island is another striking nod to mid-century modern style, with an extra thick white quartz waterfall countertop.  Who says you can’t have it all? 😉 The Lighting One…
