Like most of our friends living in Orange County, we live in a small house ;). It’s a track home built in the 60’s, and the bedrooms are pretty small. However, small house and all, we LOVE having guests stay. We’re actually in the process of re-doing our room, which meant we moved our old king-sized bed into the guest room. That triggered what Blake likes to call the domino effect, and of course the whole guest room needed re-done! Ha!
Mixed-In Vintage
Some good friends of our’s sent us these amazing vintage lamp shades that they used to keep in their place in Malibu, and they inspired the rest of the room. I wanted it to have a vacation/beach vibe for the people coming from out of town. Here’s how it turned out:

I love white bedding for our own room, but I think it’s even more important to have in the guest room. It just feels so clean and fresh, and it’s comforting as a guest to feel like you’re sleeping in something clean ;). I hunted around for some good, organic cotton bedding and settled on a whole new set from Boll and Branch. I’m really, really happy with it! Lo is usually not allowed in the guest room or on the guest bed, but we used to keep this blanket in our room so when she saw me move it over I think she thought it was ok to jump up on it. Made for a cute picture, but she’s going to be bummed when she realized it’s now off limits ;).
IKEA HACK DRESSER

Master Bedroom Ideas
So that’s the guest room! Now that it’s done, I can focus on our room. We need a new bed/headboard, night stands, wall decor, bedding, paint color, etc. Here’s what I’ve got so far, but guys, I am OPEN FOR IDEAS ;).
