Still on our quest to find decent hikes around Orange County, Saturday evening we ended up at Barbara’s Lake, in Laguna Canyon’s James Dilly Preserve.  It still wasn’t the mountain hike we crave, but it was pretty and the cloudy day made feel a little more magical.  The lake turned out to be more of a pond, but I have high hopes that in the spring and summer it fills up a bit.  (Supposedly, it’s the “largest lake in Orange County”…)  There’s a great dirt path and various trails you can take throughout the almost-4-mile loop, and it’s great for running.  You do reach a couple nice viewpoints that look over the canyon.  I think our greatest discovery of the day was actually this website called So Cal Hiker – we are definitely going to use this as a resource in the future!  We found it to be really accurate and helpful, and I’m excited to try more of the mountainous hikes on here.

Ok, now can we talk about these Onzie pants for a second?  At first glance they look like sweatpants, and I guess technically they are.  But the material is a lightweight, quick-drying knit, which makes these comfortable for lounging OR being active.  I could definitely wear them for running, yoga, errands, or sitting around.  I am developing a serious love for all things Onzie…more to come on that ;).
