We planned a trip to visit our family in Utah, and when my sister (Tahni) realized it was close to their first birthday she insisted on throwing them a party. She is THE best host, so good at parties, and always makes it look easy. She threw this party together so fast for the girls and it turned out amazing. We got to see old friends, Blake’s family that lives in Utah, and were so lucky that my sister Lisa flew in from D.C. and my brother Dane came back from fighting fires just in time to make it. Some of Tahni’s friends that have been so sweet and supportive since we had the babies got to come meet them, which I loved.
The girls were SO good – loved being passed around to all of the new people and playing with all of the kids. They LOVE their cousins so much, and the cousins are so sweet and good with them. When it came time for cake, the girls dug right in! Romy went face first for that first bite ;). And Piper’s expressions after she got a taste were priceless! I thought they handled the sugar and the crowd so well, until it came time for bed and they just wanted to keep partying…

Feeling so crazy lucky to have these beautiful, healthy babies turning 1 and to have them loved on by so many – especially their aunt who threw them this amazing party! Thank you Tahni for this, thank you to our siblings, family, and friends who made it a big deal – we have SO much to celebrate!!

hi, I meant to leave this comment to your birth story, but the comments were closed for that one… I’m currently pregnant with 29w1d boy/girl twins, and on 7th week of my strict bedrest at home after a 22w6d cerclage. I wanted to thank you for keeping such a detailed log of your story… Happy birthday to your sweet little girls!
