Now that the babies are doing so well and taking more and more of their bottles each day, I’m anxious to get things buttoned up at the house before they come home. To me, the most important thing to have ready is our bedroom, since that’s where they’ll be sleeping at first. So Blake and I set up our room with the bassinets we chose last weekend, and I thought I’d share it with you all on here!  Choosing a Bassinet | Happiest Baby | SNOO

How we chose our bassinets:

When we found out we were having twins, I became obsessed with researching all of the best baby things. Particularly the things that would streamline life with two babies! So now little by little, (it might be slow-going now the babies are here) I want to share with you the best things I found in all of that research – the things that are actually worth getting!

Choosing a Bassinet | Happiest Baby | SNOOOne of the first things I researched was a bassinet. Everybody said the nursery could wait until even after the babies are here, but a bassinet that would go in our bedroom was important to have right away.

I have to admit that the reason I originally became interested in the SNOO was the look – I LOVE the design. It’s really, really beautiful – even more so in person. But as I learned more about it I knew it’s what I wanted for the girls. Incredibly, it’s a smart sleeper that imitates the movements a baby feels in the womb. The combination of movement and white noise is engineered to respond the way a parent would, increasing as the baby cries. Since we found out we were having twins, people keep asking us if we have help nearby, or a night nurse. The answer as of now is “no”, which is another reason I wanted to try the SNOO. It’s an investment at the price point, but they break it down by stating that it’s like having a night nurse for the first 6 months for under $7/night. When you put it that way, it’s definitely worth a try!  Choosing a Bassinet | Happiest Baby | SNOO

I promise I’ll keep you posted on how it goes when we bring the babies home, but for now I feel great about having our room all ready to go with these two pretty things!

PS – I LOVE how interested Lo is in all of the new baby things around the house! I think she is going to be just as excited as we are when these girls are finally home with us.
