Oh gosh, back to real life! It’s hard to say goodbye to Labor Day weekend, probably because I feel like I’m also saying goodbye to summer. But I love that even here in Orange County the air is feeling a bit more crisp and a new season is coming. I grew up in Seattle, where summers are cherished and feel so valuable. I read this article, Ready for Rain, the other day and loved it, because it explained why I love a rainy day so much, and why I feel like I’ve never felt quite at ease here in sunny Southern California.
This weekend we stayed in town, which was surprisingly hard for me to just stay put. I leave to New York in a few days and Blake’s been crazy busy, so I know I should have been happy to just be still ;). We hung out with our dog, ate lots of food, ate more food with some good friends, spent a lot of time at the pool and a little at the beach, watched lots of Narcos Season 2, and even got a couples massage. Blake snapped these photos as we walked around before dinner one night – I love this super soft body suit and striped crop pants so I’m sharing them with you.

Here’s to the short week that comes after a long weekend!
